Eli and Dhana’s journey is a testament to the enduring power of love. United by their service in the military, their story is one of resilience and devotion. Their story begins where they first cross paths within the confines of military life. Dhana always stood out to Eli because of the way she smiled. He would always try to make her laugh. Dhana also genuinely enjoyed Eli’s company and soon their love blossomed amidst the rigors of training and the demands of military service. Even through deployments and separation, their love only grew stronger.

Gearing up to start the next chapter of their “Forever Ever After,” Eli and Dhana contacted Jolene Kaneshige Photography to take their engagement and wedding photos. They really liked Jolene’s artistic eye and expertise along with her ability to capture intimate moments during sunset. After all there is no better way to commemorate their post in Hawaii than with an engagement portrait session and Hawaiian sunset, right?! They also wanted photos that they could use to send out save the date post cards prior to sending out the official wedding invitations, killing two birds with one stone.

On the day of the shoot Eli wore a collared blue shirt with khaki slacks and Dhana wore a simple, but elegant tan sun dress. They strolled down the sandy beach together hand in hand while lost in each other’s eyes. Jolene was able to masterfully capture the intricacies of Eli and Dhana’s love in stolen glances and subtle smiles. “Eli and Dhana were such a happy-go-lucky couple and I loved working with them. Dhana has a beautiful smile and the sunset was also gorgeous. Its heartfelt moments like these that I love to capture one frame at a time.”
