Romantic escapes and destination weddings go hand in hand! Now, add fabulously warm weather, all year round, beautiful sunsets, and the beach and you have a slice of paradise.
Why go to Oahu?
-It is the most lively of the Hawaiian island chain and there is a little bit of excitement for everyone. For example, if you want to do nothing but relax, there is the Kailua, North Shore, or Turtle Bay. However, if you want to be in the city, go shopping, enjoy nightlife, restaurants, and be 5 minutes from the beach; Waikiki beach might be the place for you!
How about the best wedding spots?
Honestly, the island is full of amazing wedding locations! It really depends on what elements you are looking for. We have everything ranging from the mountains to the ocean. Click here to view some of our favorite locations!

It is important to also enjoy a romantic escape before your wedding. All the planning can be stressful. Take time to really connect with one another. Fortunately, a destination wedding and a romantic escape can all be rolled into one! There are a plethora of activities to spark romance as well as making memories that will last a lifetime! I have listed a few below!
-How about a dive into the crystal blue oceans with your soon to be spouse? Hanauma Bay is a great place to see marine life, have a picnic, and just enjoy the day together.
-A quiet stroll on the beach near Hilton Hawaiian Village, followed by a wonderful fireworks display in Waikiki on a Friday evening?
-A helicopter ride over the island can be exciting and romantic!
-Touring a botanical garden on the island. (There are many to choose from throughout the state of Hawaii).
– Visiting the Cacao Farm 21 Degrees North! (They have a chocolate tasting at the end of the tour)!
-New to the islands and more of a history enthusiast? Visit the Polynesian Culture Center in Laiea, and allow yourselves to be transported back through time!
– A romantic dinner at one of the many amazing restaurants on island.
-Taking surfing lessons together.
-A picnic at the Queen Emma summer palace is a beautiful and wonderful place to ignite that romantic spark!
– If your hotel room has an ocean view or a view of beautiful gardens in your hotel,a private and beautiful set up balcony dinner could be just the thing!!
-Cultural Practices Workshops. These can be as simple as learning how to create a floral lei to lauhala weaving! Doing something together to simply enjoy being with one another can spark a lot more romance than you think!
Romantic escapes don’t need to be cliche. What do you enjoy doing together? What brings happiness to your partner? What makes you relaxed and happy? Incorporate those activities to enjoy your time together while here in the islands! I can’t think of a better formula, a romantic escape to Hawaii, filled with just time together producing a relaxed bride and groom getting married on the beautiful Hawaiian shores. Romantic Escapes and Destination Weddings do go Hand in Hand!
