Locations

Here’s a list of our best spots on Oahu for a Surprise Engagement Proposal, Destination Wedding, or Portrait session. We have everything mapped out from secluded beaches with breathtaking scenery to amazing sunset locations. Oahu locations are divided into categories: Waikiki, East Oahu, West Oahu, and North Shore. We highly recommend Magic Island, Waialae Beach, and Makapuu.

Waikiki

Kahanamoku Beach

Named after the Legendary Hawaiian hero, Duke Kahanamoku, this beach is located directly in front of the Hilton Hawaiian Village & Ilikai Hotel. Enjoy a brilliant view of Waikiki beach and Diamond Head near the Rainbow Tower and Lagoon.

Fort Derussy Beach

Formerly a US Army installation, Fort Derussy Beach is located on the west end of Waikiki Beach near the Hale Koa Hotel. It is named after General Ren Edward De Russy (1789-1865) and is one of Hawaii’s most beautiful public beach-side sanctuaries. Fort Derussy Beach Park features tall coconut palms and monkeypod trees, grassy hills, picnic benches, volleyball courts, a public barbecue area, and restrooms.

Magic Island

Magic Island Lagoon, also known as Ala Moana Beach Park, is a manmade peninsula located on the west end of Waikiki and right across Ala Moana Center. This location is highly accessible and offers beautiful views of the harbor, the iconic Diamond Head, a beautiful lagoon and beach, and stunning views of the Honolulu cityscape. This is also the best spot in Honolulu for a sunset or a sunrise photo session.

Queen’s Beach

Queen’s beach is one of two beaches credited to being the birthplace of surfing. This famous beach was once a favorite of Hawaiian royalty and the ever famous Duke Kahanamoku. Situated just east of Waikiki Beach, Queen’s beach provides a quieter and slightly more secluded space to enjoy those amazing Hawaiian sunsets.

East Oahu

Waialae Beach

Located on the South shore of the Island of Oahu, about 3 miles east of Waikiki Beach (a 10 minute drive) and right next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort and Waialae Country Club. This hidden gem is hands down one of the best places for a surprise engagement proposal or a destination wedding.

West Oahu

Paradise Cove

Paradise Cove Beach is located behind the Paradise Cove Luau in the Koolina Area. This quaint beach is protected from the open ocean giving the beach a calm and serene setting for you to enjoy. This beach also boasts some of the most beautiful sunsets and is known to have a few turtle sightings as well.

Paradise Cove “Secret Beach” (low tide only)

Situated between Paradise Cove Beach and Sacred Beach, Secret Beach is a gorgeous stretch of beach with snorkeling, calm waters, and stunning sunsets. This beach is indeed a secret as the tide enjoys covering the beach during high tide. However, save a few precious hours, the waves roll back to expose this stunning jewel!

North Shore

Papa‘iloa Beach

Located in Haleiwa on the North Shore of Oahu. This beach is a hidden gem also known as "Lost survivor beach." The long coast line and long stretch of beach with special appearances by Green Sea Turtles (Honu) make this beach a truly magical place for a Surprise Engagement Proposal or Destination Wedding.

Ehukai Beach

Located on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii is Ehukai Beach, also known as “Banzai Pipeline.” This beach is famous for holding the Pipeline Masters Surf Contest during the winter months, is a great local surf spot, and a beautiful place for a Surprise Engagement Marriage Proposal, a Destination Wedding, or Family Portraits.

Turtle Bay

Named as such for the turtles that once laid their eggs on its secluded shores, today, Turtle Bay is known for its surfing, diving, and fishing. Located in Kahuku right near the Turtle Bay Resort, this beach provides breathtaking views for Photo Sessions.
