Leading up to their dreamy country themed wedding, high school sweethearts Carlee and Devin wanted to showcase their love story with a similar themed engagement photoshoot on Oahu, Hawaii. It was also a great way to work with Jolene Kaneshige Photography before their wedding day. We highly recommend scheduling an engagement photoshoot leading up to your dreamy wedding day. Its simply the best way to make more memories together and save the date announcement cards! Looking back no one ever says there were too many photos. Maybe at the time it can feel like a lot, but with quantity comes quality. Trust in the process.
Oahu has so many cool locations so when Jolene heard that Carlee was looking for something rustic she immediately though of a grassy field near Central Oahu. Carlee absolutely loved the idea! You wouldn’t think that a grassy field would be a good place for photos, but if you are a photographer its like finding gold!
On the day of the engagement shoot Carlee wore an elegant short white dress with brown cowboy boots and Devin wore a blue collared shirt with black jeans. He also brought a white shirt with him for a quick outfit change! Both of his outfits complimented Carlee’s look and they looked so cute together. As they approached the tall grass it contrasted what they were wearing perfectly and the combination of twilight right before sunset transformed this landscape into a dreamy field of dreams.
