Coconut Beach, Kauai
Aloha! It’s been too long since our last venue feature! I thought it was time to go out and do more exploring to be able to offer our esteemed audience with a fresh set of choices! I will be featuring new places this blog season! I cannot wait to share my experiences, advice, and information on these gorgeous venues! Today’s venue of choice is Coconut Beach on the beautiful island of Kauai!
I was pleasantly surprised to find Coconut Beach was right next to Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach in Kapaa, Kauai! This venue had so many things on my checklist. What exactly do I look for in a venue? I cannot give away all my secrets,but I can share a few of the things that I look for in a venue.
My Venue checklist:
A bathroom nearby. ( It doesn’t sound romantic, but it’s important).
A gazebo or some type of sheltered area nearby in case of rain.
Scenic points that will provide that perfect background to “pop the question”.
A café or romantic restaurant nearby to continue the celebration if the venue is a beach or a park or garden.
An easy to spot landmark or reference point. ( It is helpful for people that are assisting with any type of set up and/or photography).
Coconut Beach had almost everything I listed above. It is definitely a spot to consider if you want to propose to that special partner! Another plus is that the beach was tucked behind the hotel. It was like a romantic, secret get away! So many of our clients look for that secluded beach feel. Coconut Beach provides those areas that are more secluded for that private, vip treatment experience without being cut off from basic and modern conveniences. (In other words, there was a nice,accessible bathroom. It sounds silly, but when you have to use an outhouse, it kind of kills the experience).
All joking aside, the beach has several different areas that would make that perfect shot for a surprise proposal. Everywhere that I looked on the beach, I could see my mind setting up that perfect proposal set up that would have all of Social Media turn green with envy!! Each little nook had its own charm and theme to it. This beach was very versatile!(This took care of finding those scenic views that would capture your heart as well as your partner’s heart)!
Since Coconut Beach is tucked behind the hotel, it provides an easy to spot land-mark for friends, family, and/or professional service providers that will be helping you set up your proposal. The beach is also in town versus far away from town,giving people assisting with the setup of the proposal numerous opportunities to pick up any necessities or last minute touches to the proposal; since there are a variety of shops and restaurants along the way to the beach.
