Getting To Know The Secret Proposal Ninja Team
What Is A Ninja?
Ninja, also called Shinobi, made their big debut in Japan’s feudal era during the 15th century. They were masters of covert operations, espionage, and infiltration. The origination of the word can be traced back to the 8th century and means “to steal away” or “to hide.” It is often associated with being stealthy and invisible.
Are You Ninjas?
Yes, very much so. We strive to be hidden and quick on our feet. Being a Ninja is a life long aspiration and takes many years of training. Being a Master of Disguise and often hiding in plain sight is something that our team of ninjas does best!
How Do Your Ninja Skills Translate To Photography?
Our ninja photography team likes to plot and scheme. I mean endlessly since those long lost, far gone childhood years of endless summer days. The bigger the surprise engagement or proposal, the better and more excited we feel! Planning covert, top secret operations, especially in Honolulu, Hawaii; is what we do best!
Are You Stealthy? Really Stealthy?
We tend to be very stealthy. For example: Couples for a surprise engagement proposal usually walk right past us and don’t suspect that we are secretly lurking and ready to spring into action! Hiding behind trees and bushes is great…but a lot of times hiding in plain sight is much better to be close to the action and get the perfect shot! During surprise engagement proposals it’s a dead give away if we were to wear the usual professional photographer attire and carry my 2 large cameras around.
As a professional team of ninjas, we never stay in one place very long. This works out great for shooting surprise proposals, destination wedding, and event photography in Hawaii. The point of being stealthy is to not be seen after all!
What Do You Wear To A Surprise Engagement Proposal?
“When in Hawaii do as the Hawaii-ans do.” Dressing appropriately to match the patrons in the local area helps us to be super sneaky and blend in. If we are at the beach or park we will wear something casual and hide cameras under a newspaper or book.
What Is Your Favorite Thing To Capture?
We really enjoy capturing candid moments. Photo-bombers are fun too, but sometimes people just don’t look as lively when they know you are going to take their photo. It’s really important to capture people in their natural element and having fun.
