A Proposal Masterpiece
Even if you are not on the island of Oahu in Hawaii, to propose to the love of your life, remember that it’s the thought that counts. Every relationship journey and proposal is a unique experience. Even the unexpected could be transformed into an amazing adventure! For example, an art museum is not necessarily the first place one thinks of for that perfect surprise proposal, but it can lend itself to being that perfect venue for the art loving couple!
Imagine being surrounded by all those amazing art pieces when the masterpiece that is your partner walks in! It creates the perfect inspiration to add into your surprise proposal speech and will be part of what you enjoy together!
“I don’t know where to start. How can I plan this?” Don’t worry we have got you covered! Here are a few tips to help plan that dream secret proposal masterpiece! (On a side note we had the Museum of Art in mind, located in downtown Honolulu, when we were dreaming this up.)
The Set Up Options:
You can work with your local art museum to see if you can secure a place to put a stand, the ring box with the ring, and a plexiglass covering that will fit over the ring, and stanchions and rope. The museum may be able to loan or rent out the items to you. Ask a good friend to dress up and act as personal security for the ring and place it on the stand right before you and your partner enter.
Instead of a stand, how about an easel set up with a canvas portrait of you and your love! Stash a floral bouquet behind the canvas and drape a sheet over it. You can then be part of the “big reveal,'' and surprise your partner with the canvas and take a knee for the proposal!
Attention to Details:
Work with the museum and see if you can have special wristbands made to justify you entering a roped off section or secluded area of the museum.
Have VIP tour signs made with the knowledge of your museum staff that will only allow you, your partner, and/or any other friends or vendors assisting with the proposal.
If your art museum has a gift shop, work with the gift shop to store your beautiful flowers to present to your partner either before or after your proposal. It is these added touches that will make it special!
If you are allowed to have soft music in the secluded area of the museum, you could hire a guitarist or violinist to start playing when you enter the area.
Don’t forget the photos! Areas in a courtyard in the museum or lots of corners and walls will give your photographer cover to secretly capture the moment when your partner says, “Yes”!
Start thinking of getting a canvas of the printed photos from your photographer and get a frame. It is something you can then have as artwork to give to your partner!
